BitChute Creator Revenue Sharing - FAQ

BitChute Creator Revenue Sharing has arrived!

As of October 10th, 2025, creators can now earn revenue from the ads displayed on their video content.

Below you’ll find answers to the most common questions about how Creator Revenue Sharing works, when payouts happen, and how to get started.

General Questions

What is Creator Revenue Sharing?

Through Creator Revenue Sharing, BitChute creators earn money from the ads shown on their video content. Each time ads are displayed on your videos, you receive a share of that revenue.

When does Creator Revenue sharing start?

Earnings have already started accruing. Any ad views on your videos now count toward your earnings.

How much do creators earn?

Creators receive 50% of the net advertising revenue generated from ads displayed on their video content. This reflects an equal partnership between creators and BitChute.

How often is the dashboard updated?

Currently the dashboard is updated once a week, we are developing the technology to make this more frequent.

How do I get started?

All BitChute creators are automatically eligible to participate in Creator Revenue Sharing. Your Creator Revenue Sharing Dashboard will appear automatically in your account menu.

If you do not see the dashboard or experience any issues, please contact us at revenuesharing@bitchute.com for assistance.

You’ll begin accruing earnings as soon as ads start running on your video content. However, payouts will only occur once you:

  1. Reach the $100 minimum balance, and
  2. Complete the required W-9 (U.S.) or W-8 (international) form.

Once those steps are complete, you’ll be able to request your payout directly through the dashboard.

Payouts & Eligibility

When will I receive my first payout?

The first payouts will occur approximately 90 days after launch. This allows time to calculate and process your earnings.

What is the minimum payout threshold?

You’ll need to have at least $100 in accrued earnings before you can request a payout.

How do I request a payout?

A “Request Payout” button will appear in your Creator Revenue Sharing Dashboard in January 2026. Once available, you can request a payout anytime after reaching the $100 threshold and completing your compliance forms.

How often will payouts occur?

Initially, payouts will be processed after 90 days. However, we are actively developing the technology to enable shorter payout intervals in the near future.

How long will it take to receive my payout after requesting it?

Once you’ve submitted your request and completed compliance verification, your payout should be processed promptly. We’ll share more details on payout timeframes as the system evolves.

Compliance & Taxes

What do I need to do to receive payments?

To comply with financial and tax regulations:

  • Creators will need to complete a KYC verification and tax form before their first payout.

Why is compliance required?

These steps are legally required to verify your identity and ensure proper reporting of earnings in accordance with U.S. and international tax laws.

Where can I find the compliance forms?

You can access the required compliance forms directly from your Creator Revenue Sharing Dashboard once you’re ready to request your first payout.

  • U.S. creators will be prompted to complete a W-9 form.
  • International creators will be prompted to complete a W-8 form.

If you encounter any issues accessing the forms, please contact us at revenuesharing@bitchute.com for assistance.

Do I have to pay taxes on my BitChute earnings?

Yes. Earnings from Creator Revenue Sharing are considered taxable income.

  • U.S. creators will need to complete a W-9 form before receiving their first payout. BitChute will issue a 1099 form at the end of the year for tax reporting purposes.
  • International creators will need to complete a W-8 form and are responsible for complying with the tax laws in their respective countries.

Dashboard & Tracking

Where can I view my earnings?

Your Creator Revenue Sharing Dashboard is now live and accessible from the menu. It allows you to:

  • View your current earnings balance
  • Track transactions and payment history
  • Access summaries of your ad revenue performance

Will I be able to see which videos earned the most?

Yes! We’re rolling out more detailed analytics soon, including per-video breakdowns and time-based visualizations (daily, weekly, monthly).

International Creators

Can non-U.S. creators participate?

Yes. Creators outside the U.S. can participate in Creator Revenue Sharing. However, international creators will need to complete a W-8 form before receiving their first payout, and compliance or payout requirements may vary by country. All earnings must be reported in accordance with your local tax laws.
