Autoplay is a convenient feature that automatically plays the next video in a sequence or a recommended video after your current one ends. This ensures a continuous viewing experience without interruption. However, you might want to disable it to save data, prevent unwanted playback, or for a more controlled viewing experience.
Enabling Autoplay
To ensure videos continue playing automatically, turn on the autoplay feature:
- Locate the Toggle: While watching a video, look for the "Playing Next" or "Next Video" section, typically located on the right-hand side of the video player interface.
-
Turn On Autoplay:
- If you see a toggle labeled "PLAYING NEXT", click it so that the switch moves to the ON position (it will usually turn green or a bright color to indicate it's active).
- If you see a button labeled "Next Video" with a toggle, click the toggle to activate it (it typically turns a bright color like red and may show a white dot/checkmark).
- If you see a toggle labeled "PLAYING NEXT", click it so that the switch moves to the ON position (it will usually turn green or a bright color to indicate it's active).
Once enabled, the next video in the queue or a recommended video will begin playing automatically when the current one finishes.
Disabling Autoplay
If you see the "PLAYING NEXT" toggle, click it again so that the switch moves to the OFF position (it will usually turn grey or white, indicating it's inactive).
If you see the "Next Video" button with a toggle, click the toggle to deactivate it (it typically turns a dark color and the white dot/checkmark may disappear).
With autoplay disabled, videos will stop at the end, and you will need to manually select the next video you wish to watch.
Important Note: Ad Blockers and Autoplay
Some ad-blocking software can interfere with the functionality of autoplay, preventing videos from playing automatically even if the setting is enabled.
If you are experiencing issues with autoplay not working:
- Allowlist BitChute: We recommend adding BitChute to your ad blocker's allowlist (exceptions list). This will allow the platform to function as intended without completely disabling your ad blocker elsewhere.
- Temporarily Disable Ad Blocker: As an alternative, you can temporarily disable your ad blocker altogether while using BitChte to see if it resolves the autoplay issue.
